Kathy Arnos began her professional writing career in 1988 as publisher and editor of Mother to Mother: Another View, a newsletter focusing on alternative health and environmental issues for the entire family. She started the newsletter as a response to her daughter Danielle’s chronic illness after childhood vaccines, and her journey back to good health through natural healing methods, and learning how to be a conscious consumer.

In 1989, while continuing to publish Mother to Mother, Arnos accepted a position on the Environmental Advisory Board for Let’s Live magazine and began writing articles for them, as well as other national and local magazines. When the board was dissolved in 1994 Arnos was asked to stay on and write for Nutrition Insights, a newsletter affiliated with LL magazine? She did, along with other in-print periodicals, and then eventually, online.

In 1991, Arnos published her first book, Bach Flowers for Children (Spirit Dance Publishing), introducing parents to the gentle influence of flower essences on a child’s particular emotional state, which proved to be an excellent reference guide for the practical application, and use of the flowers for all ages.

During the same year Arnos also produced and hosted a 30-minute television show, "Raising Healthy Children Without Drugs," which aired on local cable television. The Los Angeles Times dubbed her, "Medicine Mom" and L.A. Weekly called her the "Good Mother." In the early 1990's Laura Diaz featured Arnos and her daughter in a special report on holistic medicine, which aired on the Channel 7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles.

Arnos' second book The Complete Teething Guide – From Birth to Adolescence was published in 2003, and sparked new thought about the possible correlation between the teething process and a childs physical and emotional behaviors. The book offers parents natural remedies for teething-related symptoms such as fevers, diarrhea, nightmares, ADD/ADHD, sleeplessness, depression, headaches, earaches, anxiety, croup, sinus and more.

In early 2005, Arnos created and began producing the Whole Children, Whole Planet Expo, the first and largest natural parenting and family expo that introduced attendees of all ages to the benefits of natural products, organics foods, natural medicine, enrichment learning programs, sustainable living practices and important health and environmental issues. The first WCWP Expo was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center over Earth Day weekend 2006, and at Highland Hall Waldorf School in 2008 and 2010. Future dates still to be determined.

Arnos also produced and hosted an internet-radio show back in 2006 called - Eco Family News on I Am Healthy Radio for six years as she continued to write freelance for several online and in-print publications. She also sits on the Advisory Board's for California Safe Schools, Holistic Pediatric Association. In 2006 she helped found the San Fernando Valley Green Team and lead the K-12 Environmental Educational Task Force for the Team from 2006-2009. In 2011 Arnos also held a seat on the Los Angeles Unified School Districts (LAUSD) Cafeteria Improvement Committee. This year (2013) she was asked to join the National Parenting Publications Awards panel of judges as the their 'Green' Judge.

Arnos has been lecturing and teaching parents about health and environmental issues for more than 30 years, and states, "My daughter has definitely been my teacher, opening my eyes to another view. We are all put here for a reason, to walk a certain path. My journey is about my truth – not everyone’s truth will be the same. As parents, it is our job and responsibility to keep our children safe and healthy, which means doing research in order to make informed choices. When Danielle was a baby, I didn’t take time to exercise that right, and that mistake almost cost us our daughter's health. My goal is not to convert other parents into believing my truth, but to give them the tools and knowledge they need to help them make educated decisions about what is right for their family, and children – their truth."
